Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist reflect not only the response to their Baptismal call to serve the people of God, but also a commitment to Christ as they share in the preaching, teaching and leading aspects of the church. Extraordinary Ministers offer the Eucharist, recognize the Body of Christ in those to whom they offer Eucharist and ultimately act as the Body of Christ by fully participating in the life of the parish and the wider community. Their willingness to respond to the call to discipleship, to serve often, to prepare properly for their service and to arrive on time dressed appropriately for Mass, further reflects that commitment.
