What is faith formation? Some have called it CCD, Sunday school, or religious education. We are moving away from these terms because they denote that once a person “graduates” from the “program,” they are “done” learning and growing in the faith. We believe faith formation is an ongoing, lifelong process that is meant to be shared with others on their journey of faith. Rather than a set of rules to follow, or facts to memorize, faith formation is meant to be less of a “school” and more of a family, a tight-knit Christian community, who shares and grows together in faith. To achieve this, we at Resurrection try to offer faith formation opportunities for every age, from preschool to adult.
Life Kids, Edge, Life Teen, Women’s Bible Study and Men’s Bible Study are just some of our faith formation opportunities at Resurrection Catholic Parish. Please feel free to contact any of us to inquire about what faith formation opportunities might be right for you.
