During these challenging times, we are all looking for ways to help those most in need. Resurrection has a few incredible opportunitie: St. Vincent de Paul and Father’s Heart Street Ministry, helping out people in need and the most vulnerable. Whether you are able to give of your time or make a donation, any organization would be happy to hear from you.
St. Vincent de Paul:
St. Vincent will have a Pentecost Sunday Food drive to refill their pantry that is very low on supplies. Please help us stock up! See below for a shopping list.

The Portland Emergency Service Center provides referral services for food, rent and utilities to the SVdP conferences in Multnomah and Clackamas counties.
If you can help by answering phone lines to book appoints or data entry, the Emergency Services Center is in need. The commitment frequency depends on your schedule, but it needs to be over some months. Training is provided, and it will take two or three sessions before you are working independently in the center. The center is located at 8101 SE Cornwell St., Portland. Please contact Craig Loughridge, Center Manager at craig.l@svdpportland.org if you are able to help.
Ways SVDP has stepped up to help during COVID:
“To the Resurrection Catholic Parish: My name is ____________ (leaving blank for privacy). In March I was diagnosed with COVID-19. The results came back on April 4th. I have never been this sick my entire life. I asked God to please take my life – over and over I prayed this. He had other plans for me. He began to send me angels of mercy to ease my suffering. Food and drink would be left at my door. Texts of prayers and well wishes. Slowly I started to recover. A company wold wash my bedding and clothes and delivered it back hours later.
Your parish dropped clothing to me. It was needed because I couldn’t leave my apartment and all my clothing was wet from the fever.
I wept for days at the outpouring of giving souls that came to my aid.
I pray to know how to pay forward what was given to me.
I am healthy, willing and able to share the love that was bestowed upon me!
God bless your parish, with Love, “
