What is Faith Formation?
Faith Formation is the term we use for all processes that help us to be “formed” or shaped in our faith. It’s more than “informed”–we are not talking about classes and lectures. We’re talking about a holistic process of becoming and growing as disciples of Jesus in the Catholic Church. So, in age/developmentally appropriate ways we support parents in growing our kids, teens and then also adults of all ages in faith.
Lifelong
Faith Formation is a lifelong process of investing in one another (the Body of Christ) in faith; challenging and stretching our spiritual muscles to grow and strengthen; and linking arms with the Family of God as we learn to be Disciples of Jesus. Faith Formation is not about what you “get” out of it. It is not a consumable product or an item to “check off the list.” It is thus the building up of the Body of Christ, supporting each other as CHURCH as we walk alongside one another over the years.
Alive in the Spirit
The Holy Spirit moves in and through the gathered family of God as we listen, share inspirations, and feel safe enough to voice our doubts and questions. Relationships/ friendships deepen. Trust happens. Spiritual growth blossoms and matures, leading to appreciation and understanding of the presence of God in our daily lives. This in turn, prompts us from within to share the GOOD NEWS through our actions and our words. Each person brings unique life experience, insights, gifts and wisdom. YOUR PRESENCE MATTERS!

Children's Faith Formation
Youth Faith Formation meets on Super Sundays, which are (typically) the first and third Sundays of the month, October through May. Click a link below to learn more:
- PreK-5th Grade (Life Kids + Bridge): 9:45-10:45 a.m. Moisant Center
- Middle School (6th-8th Grade): 9:45-10:45 a.m. Youth Room
- High School (9th-12th Grade): 12:15-2:00.p.m. Youth Room
Children's Liturgy of the Word
Children ages 3–6 are invited to participate in the Children’s Liturgy of the Word during the 11:00 a.m. Mass on Super Sundays. Children are dismissed during the readings and return to the congregation after the homily.
Sacraments
Parents register and attend two scheduled Sunday Baptism Prep sessions between the Masses. Once you have attended both sessions, schedule your child(ren)’s baptism through Betsy Taylor. Click here to learn more and sign up.
Sacrament Prep is open to second grade and above; parents or guardians attend each meeting alongside their children. Sign up through Children’s Faith Formation (see links above).
Confirmation Prep is offered for teens in 8th grade and up. We ask that they participate in the regular Faith Formation Group according to their grade level, as well as attend our Confirmation Prep series on 12/13, 1/17, 2/14, 3/14, & 4/11. OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults)
OCIA is for adults who are interested in becoming Catholic, whether they come from another faith tradition or no religious background. It is also available for Catholics who have not yet received all of their Sacraments of Initiation. Click here to learn more and to sign up.
Mom's Group

Women's Faith Sharing Group

Women's Bible Study
